Fritura Livre – La communauté brésilienne du chant improvisé.

La communauté brésilienne est née de la rencontre de trois personnes:
Ronaldo Crispim, Pedro Consorte et Zuza Gonçalves.
Elle vient de fêter ses 10 ans, le 15-01 2023 a Sao Paolo avec environ 150 chanteurs.

Cette communauté nous la connaissons surtout avec son nom « Musica do Circulo » mais je vais parler ici de la partie qui ressemble vraiment aux chants pour tous : Fritura Livre. Le nom Musica do Circulo se rapportant à la fois à ces événements mais aussi à des retraites et différentes formations autour de la facilitation.

L’origine des Frituras.

Les Fritura Livre sont des évènements gratuits et ouverts à tous, qui se déroulent en extérieur à Sao Paolo.
La première a eu lieu en 2013 et il y en a eu 121 depuis. Elles sont facilitées à 3 par Zuza, Ronaldo et Pedro.
A l’origine les 3 amis faisaient partie d’un groupe de pratique en body music fondé par Fernando Barba (Barbatuques) en 2006. En 2013 ils commencent à organiser des Frituras, après la première participation de Zuza au stage de Circlesongs de Bobby Mc Ferrin à Omega, année où il croise aussi un certain Gaël Aubrit…

Très rapidement ces rassemblements grandissent jusqu’à atteindre souvent 50 personnes. Le tout est toujours vocal et corporel, improvisé, gratuit et ouvert à tous… En ce point on peut dire qu’une Fritura Livre est un chant pour tous.

Mais alors qu’est ce qui change ?
La première chose, c’est celle que j’ai nommée plus haut… Ce sont les 3 fondateurs de MDC qui animent.
Alors qu’en France, en Belgique ou ailleurs, chacun peut décider d’animer un Chant pour Tous.

Qu’est ce qui change, encore ?
Sans vouloir trop généraliser ce qui peut se passer dans un chant pour tous (puisqu’ils ressemblent à ceux qui les animent et que leurs formes, de ce fait, varient énormément) ce qui frappe dans une Fritura livre, c’est le mouvement et l’utilisation des percussions corporelles.
Bien sûr certains animateurs en France ou en Belgique les utilisent aussi. Mais dans les pratiques brésiliennes, ces caractéristiques sont vraiment au tout premier plan.
L’autre caractéristique d’une Fritura, c’est que c’est non-stop. Les moments musicaux s’enchaînent, sans arrêt… Pendant 1h30
Là encore, certains chants pour tous peuvent aussi ressembler à ça…
Dernière chose, les Frituras ont lieu a Sao Paolo en extérieur, la plupart du temps dans des parcs.

Qu’est ce que ça veut dire Fritura Livre ?

Cela fait référence au groupe de pratique auquel ont participé les facilitateurs. Après le départ de Barba, le groupe avait continué son activité et avait choisi le nom « Los fritos »
Du nom friture, cela évoquait l’état mental dans lequel se trouvaient les participants pendant les ateliers. Pour être à la fois dans l’instant présent, la connexion avec les autres membres et gérer la complexité de certaines séquences musicales il ressentaient un bouillonnement, une vraie friture dans leur tête…

Les inspirations.

Bien sûr nos cousins brésiliens célèbrent l’héritage de Bobby Mc Ferrin, de Fernando Barba, de leur formation en pédagogie de la collaboration et ils croient en l’idée de l’intelligence collective.

En ce 15-01-2023 la Fritura des 10 ans s’est terminée par 10 claps. Et a rassemblé des gens de plusieurs continents.
Le 22-01 ce sera le premier Chant pour Tous « à la française » au Brésil 🇧🇷
Continuons les connexions entre les mouvements, apprenant les uns des autres.
Nos familles ont un âge très proches, des valeurs communes et des facilitateurs qui naviguent entre ces univers.

Fritura Livre – The Brazilian community of vocal improvisation.

The Brazilian community of vocal improv was born from the meeting of three people : Ronaldo Crispim, Pedro Consorte, and Zuza Gonçalves.
They have just celebrated their 10 years anniversary on January the 15th 2023 in Sao Paolo with about 150 singers.

Most of us have heard of this community with the name « Musica do Circulo », but I will be talking about the part of it that is more similar to « Chant pour Tous »: Fritura Livre.
The name « Musica do Circulo » includes those events and also retreats and leading courses.

What is Fritura Livre?

These are events that are free, open to everyone, taking place outdoor in Sao Paolo
The first edition took place in 2013 and there have been 121… They are all led by Pedro, Ronaldo and Zuza.
The three friends first took part of a body music practice group of Fernando Barba (Barbatuques) in 2006. They started organising Frituras in 2013 after Zuza’s first participation to Bobby Mc Ferrin Omega workshop. In that year he also met our dear Gaël Aubrit.

Very quickly, the meetings grow up to 50 people and more (up to more than 100 people). During the Frituras, everything is always vocal and body percussions, improvised, free and open to everyone…
Looking at it, I could say that Chant Pour Tous and Fritura Livre are quite similar.

So what is different ?
The first main difference I observe is that we are many facilitators of Chant pour tous in France and Belgium, wheareas only Pedro, Zuza & Ronaldo lead Frituras.

Other difference in my observation.
I know there are as many different chant pour tous as different facilitators, but in the headlines the place of movement, flow and the use of vocal and body percussion are really very important in Musica do Circulo and Fritura Livre.
Of course some french and belgian people tend to use them a lot. But in Brazil it is really on the foreground.
Other caracteristic of a Fritura is that it doesn’t stop… The musical sequences shift from one to thé other one without stoping… About 1h30 up to 2 jours.
Here again some Chants pour tous are facilitated this way.
Another difference is that they always take place outdoors in parks.

What does Fritura Livre mean?

It refers to the state of mind of the facilitators. To be in the present moment, connected to the participants and thinking about how to transition to the next step, the conducting team feel a huge fry in their heads…

Inspirations.
Of course our brazilian friends celebrate the heritage of Bobby Mc Ferrin but also from Fernando Barba, of their training in the pedagogy of cooperation and they believe in the idea of collective intelligence.

So this Sunday 15th of January the 10 years anniversary Fritura ended with 10 claps. It has gathered people from different continents.
On the 22th of January the first « European Chant pour tous » in Brazil will take place to celebrate the connexion between our two families.
So let’s go on learnong from each other. Our communities are about the same age, share values, and facilitators from both are sailing across those univers.
